THE UFO LANDING OF MORÓN DE LA FRONTERA
May 11, 1970 at 03 in the morning

Manuel Robles (Carrier)
Fifty-seven-year-old Manuel Robles drives his Pegaso Comet truck from Morón de la Frontera to Seville in the early morning hours of May 11, 1970, his destination taking goods to the Mercado de Abastos de Triana. A strong storm makes Manuel take extra precautions when driving as the pavement of the A-360 road is not in good condition. At a certain moment at approximately two thirty in the morning, a distant lightning bolt makes him look away towards the extreme right of the road and it is at that moment when he sees an object suspended in the sky, at low altitude, an object with its own light, an object which he calls a “strange suppository”

<< — What did you see?
_ I can’t catalog what I saw because I don’t remember seeing anything like it in my life.
_ Did you feel any special sensation?
_ No, I was a bit nervous about the state of the road and although the rain was very fine, deep on the horizon, in my direction, the storm was very strong and thunder and a lot of lightning were very frequent. they are repeated at very short intervals.
_ How would you describe what you saw?
- I can’t explain it, at first it was like a powerful but matte light, without glare and always in an opaque but very bright tone. I drove the truck for almost a kilometer and decided to pull over to the side of the road.
_ Did you get out of the car?
_ No, I was beginning to be a little restless, the rain began to fall in greater quantities. I was very curious to see that, but I also had a long way to go to get to Seville.
_ How long did your observation last?
_ About five minutes, I can not express what I really saw because it was nothing I had seen before in my life or had references to anything similar. I can define it as a giant “suppository” but rounded at both ends.
_ The height?
_ It was approximately a hundred meters from the ground and it seemed that it was moving very slowly, as I have put in the questionnaire, from one side as if it were traveling a few meters and again returning to the starting point; So for about three or four minutes and then it began to descend very slowly, its light began to reflect on the ground. It is at that moment when I start the Pegaso and decide to resume the march. The view on the road but at the same time also looking at the place where that thing was. When I’m closer and I can see it on the far right side of the booth, “it” almost touched the ground, lighting everything up. That’s when I realize that the lights on my truck are off and I’m driving blind. Luckily I did not go off the road, that section that is already closer to the Base and was well paved >>

<< — What did you see?
_ I saw something similar to a “laying silo” or a tank truck but white with a very powerful light.
_ The size?
_ I don’t know how to specify the size but it was big, I didn’t stop to look at it much.
_ How long did the observation last?
_ I don’t know, very little because I didn’t stop and I got very nervous and really wanted to get out of that place.
_ Did you see someone near the object?
_ No, I was in a hurry to get out of that place and the night was not very good, the storm was very strong and the rain was getting more intense, I was drenched.
_ Did you see him perched on the ground?
_ Yes, that afternoon I was with my girlfriend fixing something at my house in Morón de la Frontera and I arrived a little late. I start working at one in the morning at the Alcalá de Guadaíra oven and I think it was already after two. I was in a hurry to get there. I ran out of Morón and when I got to the El Coroníl turnoff I could see him to the right of the road, I got scared and didn’t stop, I live in Utrera and the road I had to travel was quite long, many kilometers. I remember looking at it out of the corner of my eye without stopping and … yes, I was perched on the ground with a white light as if it came out of the whole object, I didn’t feel any noise, just the Derby and the rain hitting my raincoat.

THE FOOTPRINTS OF MORÓN DE LA FRONTERA
Dossier of the Center for Spanish Interplanetary Studies of Barcelona
On May 15, some national newspapers reported very succinctly the discovery of some strange traces on a farm near the town of Morón de la Frontera, in the province of Seville. The following day, the entire national press echoed the events mentioned. From then on, and for almost two weeks, our daily press and even the foreign newspapers gave us extensive information on the development of the matter, until it was no longer spoken of, despite the fact that no satisfactory explanation had been given for what had happened. Again a possible UFO case was relegated to forced oblivion.
But in the case at hand, it is even more regrettable the treatment suffered by the press and official bodies. So far this year, and taking into account the small number of news items referring to UFO observations that have taken place, not only in the Iberian Peninsula, but throughout the world. We must highlight the special importance of two complementary cases: the one that occurred at Cowichan Hospital del Canada on January 1 and this one in Morón de la Frontera. The first was due to the fact that the crew of the UFO sighted tried, intentionally, it seems, to show themselves as much as possible to the witness. And the second, as can be seen, because of the footprints left by the UFO in the place where it landed.
Finally, it only remains for us to give the most sincere thanks to all those who have contributed to the writing of this case, either for having carried out on-site surveys or for contributing press news. We must especially highlight Mr. Juan Salas Bermúdez (Correspondent of the CEI in Morón de la Frontera), since his report has constituted the main basis of this article. Also our thanks to Ms. Gloria Martinez Mirón and Núria and Maria Victoria de Vera Cullell (CEI members), our partner Vicente Juan Ballester Olmos (CEONI President), Mr. Juan Marchena Curado (CEI Correspondent in Los Molares, Seville), and Mr. José María Guillerma Grijalba (Correspondent of the CEI in Vitoria).
THE EVENT
We are at dawn on Monday, May 11. A storm with enough electrical equipment is brewing in the Morón de la Frontera area. (Recall that there is a United States Air Base about 20 km from this town). Around three o’clock, when the storm reaches its greatest intensity, members of the Gordillo family live in the “Casilla Gordillo”, a house located at number 15 minutes. Walking from the farm “Rancho del Maestro Oliva”, they heard a loud noise that woke them up. At the same time, Juan, a farmer who lives alone in a house 600 meters from the aforementioned farm, hears a strange noise. “It seemed too long to be a storm,” he later told a reporter. However, you don’t pay attention to it until you check the footprints on the ground.
The next morning, at approximately 8 in the morning, Mr. Manuel Gordillo, owner of the “Rancho Maestro Oliva” plot, located about 8 km. northwest of Morón, he went to work his land as usual. But when he got to the place where he had planted some sunflowers, he was very surprised to see two irregular “circles” of about 100 square meters each, inside which were holes, and in which the plants were crushed and burned. He immediately went to the Civil Guard to tell them what he had found.
D. Manuel Gordillo responded thus to
Questions asked by a journalist in relation to this first phase of events:
«- What were those holes like?
_ Nothing, like when a chicken pecks.
- Why, then, did you immediately report the incident to the Civil Guard, and not to the agronomic authorities, as was logical?
- Because I wanted to inform the authority. Then I saw that it was a quintá (a joke).
_ What do you think the prints were due to?
- The Civil Guard told me it was lightning, and I think it was lightning.
- Why did you forbid those who came to see the phenomenon from entering your farm?
- Because they spoiled the crops and, furthermore, this was nothing, which will cost me money.
- Did you find remains of any object on the ground?
- Nothing, the earth removed and the plants burned and crushed.
- What happened on your farm from 11 to 15?
- I do not remember the days very well, because I already said that I did not give importance to this matter. The Civil Guard arrived and that’s it. Later the news came out in the press and people began to come to browse and damage the crops.
- Do you firmly believe it was lightning?
- Yes.
Lightning in the lower part of the farm, when there were taller trees and near a power line and a telephone line?
- Well yeah, lightning.
- At fifty …
- Long …
- At fifty years old, a lifelong peasant, knowledgeable about the terrain, do you see it natural that lightning does not strike the highest parts of the farm?
- Man, no, but some lightning has struck low places.
- And do you see normal for a veteran farmer to report to the Civil Guard that lightning has struck his farm?
- I saw those footprints and wanted to report.
Were there really no remains?
I at least didn’t see any, nothing but burned plants.
Why did they plow [with a tractor] the affected land?
- So they wouldn’t come more curious. — Did he do it on his own initiative?
- I went to see the lieutenant of the Civil Guard, to ask him if he could plow, when the news had already appeared in the newspaper. He told me that if he had received any official order prohibiting me; I said no. And then he told me that I was the owner of the land and that I could do whatever I wanted. That is why I plowed, so that the harvests would not spoil me any more and that is why I did not let in the journalists, who from the beginning have not done more than give importance to something that does not have it.
- You, naturally, don’t believe in UFOs …
- What am I to believe! That’s silly. What was here was the crushed earth. Nothing, it was a quint of mine. “
Let us now see in detail the description of the footprints according to the investigation of our correspondent Don Juan Salas:
Two 50 cm circles. radius from the center of the circle to the center of the peripheral holes. Centered in each of the two circles are two 6 cm holes. in diameter, whose centers are 15 cm apart. From center to center of both circles there are 25 meters. Let’s read carefully: If we draw an imaginary axis that passes through the centers of the circles, we find that the two central holes of each circle are centered and aligned with said axis, whose direction is 60 ° in the North direction. Parallel to this imaginary axis there were very blurred concave indentations.
As for the peripheral bores, bores that kept radial symmetry, these were equally distributed into five groups of two, whose diameters are 4'5 cm. and whose centers are 12 cm apart. Imagining a schematic section of the ground in depth, the peripheral holes have an inclination with respect to the ground plane of 25 °, and the central ones of 70 ° in the same plane and on the axis that crosses their respective centers, noting that on the 30 cm. deep they curve towards the center of the circle (this curve is difficult to define because it was impossible to do the excavation with a rational method), reaching a depth of 1.5 m. at a minimum and with appreciable taper.
After having carried out the excavations at more than 1 m. deep, appear in the walls of the holes a large number of holes of different gauges and directions that, apparently, do not bear any relation to the main 12 or any symmetry. It seems as if what produced the holes was flexible and that, upon entering the earth, it had taken winding paths in different directions, but always below 40 cm. deep.
What do the footprints look like?
We transcribe verbatim from Mr. Salas’s report: The footprints had the appearance of having suffered the effects of the rain, but not too much. It seems as if these marks had been protected until the bulk of the storm passed, as they appeared sharp.
The tracks were within irregular “circles” on the ground. Well, within the two circles the earth was crushed, hardened and cracked to flakes,
as if it had been subjected to considerable pressure and temperature. (Take into account that it used to be like the rest of the crop: tilled, and loose.) It was also noteworthy that this flaked soil seemed disorderly, as if when the object that was pressing it had separated from it it had stuck to it, at a very low height it would have fallen again, or as if it had suffered the effect of a suction.
On the other hand, the walls of the holes appeared whitish (the earth being black), and applying a close-up view, their rough surface was noticeable in all the same way, as if what produced the holes had vibrated just like the cylinders.
And the plants? Inside the “circles” the plants were burned and none remained standing: neither cultivated nor parasitic. They were lying, with the cylindrical stems completely crushed and dry, as well as the first leaves, only the bud was green. Regarding the state of the plants within the circles, they had simply disappeared, and not by combustion, since neither the roots were found.
Around the circles there were no crowns: originally there were two irregular “circles” within which the two circles were found without keeping any concentricity.
However, the next day (Tuesday, May 12) it was observed that new “circles” of different sizes and shapes were appearing, in which the plants. They were following a process of death similar to that of the first two, but slowly and progressively. (The stems of the plants of the two primitive “circles” took from being completely healthy and green to being completely dry and black about four or five hours.) Also some nearby thistles were affected: they twisted and acquired a red and white color.
The process was as follows: the stems of the sunflowers were flattening and curling up on themselves. A few cracks were opened in the longitudinal direction where, in many of them, it was observed that the sap had sprouted. Then they fell completely to the ground and died. In many of the plants this process stopped before falling completely to the ground, and they continued to live until bearing fruit, but now — July — many of these plants can be seen bearing fruit on the ground. This is due to the fact that the base and part of the trunk that were affected are weaker and thinner, and as the head acquires a lot of weight when it matures, this weak part cannot support it and falls to the ground. Others, on the other hand, continue standing up to ripen their fruit.
Juan Salas tells us an interesting fact that happened a few days after the footprints were discovered. When examining the affected plant samples with his family, those who touched them felt a slight itch in their hands, and his father, when he touched his lips with his hands, noticed that they also itched. In the throat and in the eyes they noticed nothing. Can we guess that it was radioactivity? In this case, we would have to confess that it disappeared very quickly, since the aforementioned symptoms had disappeared within 24 hours.
The area of dead plants can be assessed around five thousand square meters and, as mentioned before, distributed in many “circles” of different sizes and shapes, ranging from two plants to hundreds of them, scattered throughout the area and without keep no symmetry with each other.
In view of what is happening, Mr. Manuel Gordillo reported the incident to the agronomic authorities of Morón and Seville, who proceeded to analyze some samples. Days later, Mr. Juan Pomares, Chief Engineer of the Seville Agricultural Office, made a statement to an agricultural publication. Given the importance they represent, we reproduce them in full below:
«- Mr. Pomares, what results have the analysis given on the sunflowers of” Rancho Maestro Oliva “?
- The lesions produced in the plants are not known. An analysis has been carried out and it has been concluded that the fusariosis appreciated is not specific. It is not an agricultural pest or disease. Therefore, sunflower injuries are not due to phytopathological causes, common in agriculture, and they have all the symptoms of having been produced by an external abrasive.
- So, has it been something strange and special that has affected these plants?
- The sunflowers have been burned by something special that has started from these impacts or circumferences that exist in the area and that have radially but irregularly affected the necks of the plants, especially the arid part, drying the sunflowers to a total area of a half hectare. The lesions are not on the flower, but on the stem. It could not have been a contamination by rain, because the flower is whole.
The plants are like segmented.
- Has there been no contagious disease from agriculture?
- At first it was believed that sunflowers could have a contagious disease, but after the plants were subjected to the corresponding analyzes, the existence of a fungus called alternariateniu was found, but this fungus is produced due to the environment and develops for this reason in any plant. The death of the plants has not been agricultural in character at all.
And you do not know other reasons that were not agricultural?
- We do not know the reason that has produced such phenomenon in the plants and in the field. It can be an electrical spark, although the technicians of our service have never really verified the effects that lightning can produce in an agricultural area planted with sunflowers. The hypotheses can be of all types. What does seem certain is that sunflowers show symptoms of having been subjected, precisely on their neck, to a great and instantaneous heat.
- And how has the area been after what was discovered on May 11? — What is clear is that there are two separate impacts with a diameter of 25 meters; that on May 11 there was damage; that the plants have not suffered any damage because they have begun to sprout in that sector. Likewise, in the places of impact, piglets of humidity are seen. This shows that there is life there. That is to say: that it must have been whatever it was that day; afterwards, the damage has not continued to spread to any site in that area. The plants that were affected at first are those that have been drying out, but some of them have already started to sprout. — Has land analysis been done? — As what happened has nothing to do with the agricultural aspect, we are going to desist from analyzing the land. If these analyzes were carried out, it is because we would consider that nematodes existed on the land. But it happens that when there are nematodes, they affect an entire plot and not a specific place, where it is clearly seen that the causes have been due to a phenomenon foreign to agriculture.
- Will there be no more investigations?
- This body will not do more research, unless there are causes that totally modify the recognition carried out a few days ago. Of course, this modification is not expected or believed, because the surface of that area is in perfect condition.
Finally, Mr. Pomares, Chief Engineer of the Agronomic Headquarters of Seville, specified his statements in four points:
- — We rule out that the lesions of the plants have been due to their own disease.
2. — The damages caused have been due to external effects that occurred in an eventual and sporadic manner on May 11, with no further damage having been produced since the aforementioned day when the footprints and injured plants were discovered. Nor will evil continue to spread to any part of the sector.
3.- Everything that happened in the “Rancho Maestro Oliva” in agriculture is not common. Nor do we believe that there is another similar case. Had it been an agricultural disease, it would have spread and been discovered.
4. — If this phenomenon had been a special disease of plants, the technicians of the Agronomic Department would have followed the investigations »
Were there any eyewitnesses to the phenomenon? In Morón and its surroundings, there was talk of a motorcyclist and a truck driver who were driving on the neighboring road at the time of the event . Unfortunately, so far they have not been able to be located.
(The information at the beginning of this writing is highlighted, giving relevance to the investigation carried out by our Seville group ADIASA, where the information provided by Manuel Sanz Tortosa, a personal friend of Manuel Gordillo, Albert R. Morse, North American commander and researcher assigned to the Morón Air Base and Daniel Guerrero Bonet, president of ADIASA, thanks to the internal investigation of the Base, it was possible to locate the two witnesses who witnessed the object in its different phases.)
The place was visited by people of a very diverse nature: a large number of onlookers; prominent journalists there; a group of UFO investigators equipped with radioactivity detectors, which did not indicate that it existed; technicians and engineers from the Agronomic Headquarters of Seville, Madrid and the Ministry of Agriculture; a meteorologist engineer, who immediately ruled out the possibility that lightning was the cause of everything; an agronomist from Copisol, a company that has contracted most of the sunflower crops in that area; members of the Civil Guard; officers of the Spanish Army; and representatives of the United States Air and Naval Forces.
For his part, the Colonel-Chief of the Morón Base, Mr. José Rodríguez y Rodrí Guez, made the following statements regarding the events at “Rancho Maestro Oliva”:
When asked if what happened at Mr. Gordillo’s farm could be due to an object detached from an airplane, he replied:
«- I totally deny that a fuel tank or any fragment of an airplane has fallen on the place. »
And to the question of whether there were emergencies at the Base on May 11, he replied:
«- No, none, since here we have references of all the aircraft flights of this Base, and the radar covers a radius of eighty kilometers. On the other hand, the planes that have tip-tanks that can be dropped in case of emergencies are the Saber reactors, and we no longer fly them. In the F-5s we have in service, the tip-tank is not launchable. “
As a result of a request from the Chief Lieutenant General of the Region requesting information on what happened, Mr. Rodríguez y Rodríguez got on a plane, accompanied by a commander who had already visited the area, and flew over the place. Later he appeared on the ground, inspecting it. The opinion expressed by the lieutenant colonel on the matter that interests us was the following:
«- In conclusion, I believe that pretending to play a joke or the controversial statement of a visionary, have given the matter a notoriety that it should never have achieved. »
With these statements, the affair of the Morón de la Frontera footprints was put to an end by the official Spanish organizations.
A few days before, when a journalist contacted the Morón Base, he received these answers to his questions from the duty officer:
«- Officially we know nothing, and, therefore, I can not tell you anything.
- Have you not been interested in what may have happened?
- I repeat that officially we know nothing. »
Before starting a brief comment on what happened, we want to point out about the lightning as the cause of the footprints. When transcribing Mr. Gordillo’s responses to a journalist from ABC de Madrid, we underline everything about the alleged lightning bolt. And we did it knowing that D. Manuel Gordillo was pressured so that the issue of the footprints did not reach more significance than that of a curious event that could be explained simply. Luckily for us, the result was quite another.
What most interested us in the description of this case refers to the perfect arrangement of the two series of traces: “If we draw an imaginary axis that passes through the centers of the circles we find that the two central holes of each circle they are centered and aligned with said axis “. Does this mean that they were two perfectly synchronized objects, capable of evolving in unison? Or a single object, capable in turn of moving 25 meters. in an ideal straight line? Or perhaps still an elongated object with two pivots, one at each end? For us, the third hypothesis appears to us as the most plausible. However, and given that the two people who are said to have witnessed the unusual event have not yet been located, we make this statement with reservations.
After gathering as much material as possible on this case, we reviewed the CEI files in order to find more cases with characteristics similar to the one at hand. Right from the start, what happened in Morón reminded us of two other classic landings: the one that took place in a clover field near Marliens, France, at the beginning of May 1967: a central hole and six exteriors with double entrance and branches in the subsoil: and the one that occurred in the lavender field of M. Masse in Valensole also in France, on July 1, 1965: a central hole and four exterior ones. But it was reading the latest NICAP publication “Strange effects from UFOs” that we found, in section IV of “Physical Evidence”, several cases of UFOs that left circular footprints. We will only mention two of these: The first took place in a house located two miles NE of Pembrike, Ontario province, Canada, at two in the morning on May 11, 1969. At that time, the Chaputs were awakened by the barking of their dog.
A light was shining in front of her window. This stationary source of light was near or on the ground and illuminated nearby meadows. It was so intense that Mr. Chaput was forced to look away. The light revealed a dome-shaped object with a flat base, from which it emitted a “muffled purr.” When Mr. Chaput looked again, the UFO disappeared. The next morning three large circular impressions of 27 feet (about 8 meters) in diameter each were found. Inside these tracks the earth was scorched. Two small balsamic trees and a pine branch located within or near the landing zone were slightly burned. Analysis of them did not reveal anything abnormal.
The other event took place in a house located 5 miles north of Airy state of North Carolina, USA. , on August 19, 1 965. Mrs. Schumaker woke up at three in the morning due to a noise like an explosion in the courtyard. Shortly after, she was dominated by a “paralyzing power” that prevented her from moving and speaking. Then the noise seemed to rise and drift west. The terrified woman woke up her mother. Then they both saw a shiny golden cigar flying north. Then the UFO moved to the right, then to the left, then up and down, then again to the left, and finally disappeared behind tall oaks. The next morning, the witnesses found a circle 12 feet (about 3.5 meters) in diameter in the courtyard. Holm oak leaves were also found scattered on the ground. The circumference was about 14 cm. Wide; its grass was trodden down and, in places, dirty with dirt.
If we move back to the Iberian Peninsula we will be able to talk about a case of circular footprints that happened in Sant Faust de Campsentelles, Barcelona, during the month of May. (The landowner discovered the footprints on May 26, but he had not visited his plantation for 15 days.) This case may well be related to the events in Morón on May 11. On the aforementioned day, the witness went to a vineyard located 2 km away. of St. Faust. Upon arrival he found a circular footprint of about 10 meters. in diameter, within which thirty-six scorched vines appeared only on the upper part, the lower part remaining absolutely normal. In addition, the young vines had a bend in their upper part. Next to the circle was a cherry tree, which was undamaged. The witness commented on what happened with his family and with the mayor of a nearby town, who went to the place and verified the tracks. (Unfortunately, when a group of UFO researchers moved to the scene, the circular footprint had already disappeared.)
To conclude, we review a case that occurred exactly eight months before Morón de la Frontera: on September 11, 1969, in a place near Morón, and whose only witness was a 67-year-old farmer, a relative of D. Manuel Gordillo. Thanks to our indefatigable friend Juan Salas, Mr. DFG was able to tell us about his experience: “I was working in my olive grove, which is about three km east of Morón. It was six o’clock in the afternoon. This, I saw a strong glow that came from an object that was perched on the ground at a very low height (its luminosity prevented me from specifying it, although, in any case, it did not move), in the shadow of a ravine and at a distance of about 200 meters. When I contemplated this strange thing I was amazed, because in all my life I have not seen anything like it. But piqued by curiosity and overcoming fear as much as I could, I approached the object making a visor of my eyes with my hands and protecting me from olive tree to olive tree with its branches, trying to see what it was about and its shape and size, but I couldn’t see it well because that was worse than looking at the Sun face to face. It seemed to me like a round washing machine normal, looked like “bulky”. more than half the way to the object, when I found that to get to it I had to go around a ravine (the olive grove is located in very rough terrain) and lose sight of it for a few seconds. So I did, and when I got to about 15 or 20 meters where the object would be, I saw with amazement that it was no longer there. Then I was scared and I stood for some time observing everything around me, in case that thing had moved and was closer to me than I wanted. Seeing that nothing was in sight, I encouraged myself and got almost to the point where it had stopped. But I couldn’t get there, because then I noticed a strange smell and my eyes and throat started to itch and I felt shortness of breath. As I progressed a step, these symptoms increased alarmingly. The smell was neither foul nor unpleasant, but it suffocated me; my eyes started to water and I couldn’t see anything. That was when I felt real panic and I left there at the highest speed that my legs were capable of, but not towards the cut where I had my tools and the jacket with documents and money, but towards Morón, where I arrived without stopping to rest or just a moment. I arrived home in such a state that my relatives were alarmed, until I told them everything that had happened. The next day, at six in the morning already calmer, I went back to the chopping block to collect my tools and jacket. But again I was curious to go back to the place where I saw the thing, mostly to see if it had left any trace. I was observing the place with great precautions and I did not see any, nor were there any traces of that smell. “
Obviously, the case of the Morón de la Frontera footprints remains open pending new details that will allow us to delve deeper into what happened. What is certain is that each case that we have reported involves different plants: sunflowers. clovers, lavender, vineyards and so on. Coincidence?

This is the document declassified by the Air Force in relation to the sighting of a UFO in Morón de la Frontera, Seville, on February 23, 1995.
The Ministry of Defense has published a total of 80 records of sightings of strange phenomena, also known as “UFO Files”, which took place within Spanish airspace between 1962 and 1995 in places throughout Spain.
The set of these files, which adds up to 1,900 pages, contains sightings of strange phenomena that throughout those 33 years were collecting personnel or material from the Air Force.
Each file consists of a few pages in which the place of the sighting, the date, the summary of the facts, the considerations, the conclusions and the proposal for classification or declassification of the document are collected.
There are also reports or interviews with witnesses to the events, news reports in your case or weather reports for the night in question, among other data. Each file is different depending on the sighting that is collected, so while some consist of only two pages, others may have dozens.
